In 2015, my daughter Laura invited me to go with her to Burning Man. While I expected to have an interesting and fun time, I didn't expect to fall in love with the quirky community and find a place to freely exercise my priestly vocation. Now, five years later I help lead a camp that offers Christian prayer, conversation and hospitality and am getting connected to the year-round burner community. A helpful primer for Burning Man is here and a introduction to my camp's purpose and principles is here.

Camp Religious As Fuck 2019
The Intersection Podcast: PARTY meets PRAYER at Burning Man For season three of the Intersections Podcast, David Boyer is featuring different aspects of Burning Man, including one episode on Religious AF. It is beautifully done and includes Jesus, pot, fishnets, prayer and the line, "But these days Religious as Fuck feels more radical than the Orgy Dome."
It's 20 minutes well spent.
